The ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ film directed by Ron Howard and starring Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany, Thandie Newton, and the voices of Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jon Favreau premiered last week. The film is an adventure into a dark criminal underworld, where Han Solo meets his future copilot Chewbacca and encounters Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebellion. The film has suffered some behind the scenes drama with a change in directors, an acting coach being hired for Ehrenreich and some lukewarm responses from the fans asking if we even need a Solo spinoff movie. Ron Howard took over the reins of the movie, reportedly reshot most of it and recast a couple of parts to bring his vision of the film to life.
Kristian Harloff and Ken Napzok sit down to give you their NON SPOILER thoughts on film and if they think Ron Howard was successful in his attempt. They explore the acting, action, direction and storylines of the film. They also let you know if they like how it reimagined some of the mythology of the Han Solo legend.
