‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is a film that clearly sparked some very strong feelings in the Star Wars fan base. The uneven reception of the film coupled with the behind the scenes drama on ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ has sparked some fans to start questioning whether Kathleen Kennedy is still the right person to be in charge of the Star Wars franchise. While the Star Wars movies are floundering a bit in terms of reception and backstage drama, Star Wars Rebels has been a consistent source of enjoyment for the fans thanks to Dave Filoni’s efforts in charge of the show. This has led the Jedi Council crew to discuss whether it might be time for Filoni to step in and run the Lucasfilm creative team.
Kristian Harloff, Ken Napzok, and Perri Nemiroff debate this possibility and explore how it could happen at this stage in the process. Filoni is about to wrap up a very successful run on Rebels and although he is rumored to be starting a new animated series, does he have space to step in and take over the film side of things? Kristian, Ken and Perri answer this question and more. Let us know what you think about this possibility and what the Jedi Council crew had to say in the Comments section below.
