It’s official and thanks to StarWars.com, the Episode IX cast list has been announced as well as the announcement that the movie will begin filming at London’s Pinewood Studios on August 1, 2018. J.J. Abrams of course, returns to direct the final installment of the Skywalker saga, with a script by Abrams and co-writer Chris Terrio. But that’s not the biggest news, the movie will see the role of Leia Organa once again played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Also returning will be Mark Hamill, who’s role of Luke Skywalker will continue!
Returning cast members were also announced and they include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, and Billie Lourd as well as Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian. Mark Reilly and Kristian Harloff break down the announcement and speculate on what other characters might return in the future. Make sure you COMMENT with your thoughts about Lando’s return.
