This video is going to be about the latest martial arts action film from Vietnamese star, Veronica Ngo, called "Furie."
The synopsis of the film says "When a little girl is abducted by a trafficking ring, they soon find they messed with the wrong child. Her mother, a notorious former leader, is close on their trail and will go to any lengths to bring her daughter home."
So it sounds like the film has an interesting premise. Veronica's character used to be a gangster, which means she probably knows how to fight. Her daughter is abducted by human traffickers, so now it's up to Mama Bear to kick the stuff out of some goons to get her baby back.
Now if Veronica's face looks familiar to you, it's because she was in Star Wars Episode 8 playing Paige Tico, Rose's older sister who dies during the early scenes of the movie when Poe Dameron leads the Resistance bombers in an attack on a First Order Dreadnaught during the Resistance's escape from the D'Qar base.
Veronica is the first Vietnamese actress to land a part in Star Wars, and she also got an action figure for her work, but she's been a big star in the Asian movie scene for over 15 years. She landed her first role on a TV series on MTV Asia before playing her breakout role in 2007 as a resistance fighter in "The Rebel" where she teamed up with Johnny Tri Nguyen to take on Dustin Nguyen. Veronica worked with Dustin Nguyen again in 2013's "Once Upon a Time in Vietnam" where she was about as deadly as she was beautiful.
Hey those are both excellent films in my martial arts movie collection, so if y'all would like me to post a review video on them later, let me know down in the comments.
Anyway--Veronica is back for more wild martial arts action in her latest film "Furie."
